Druids stun Prestatyn to reach Welsh Cup Quarter Final

Aberystwyth Town 1-1 Llandudo Town (Aberystwyth won 5-4 Penalties)
Alan Morgan's side survived a scare against their Huws Gray Alliance visitors and won this nailbiting tie in penalties. Lee Jones scored for the Huws Gray Alliance on 27 minutes at Park Avenue, but Alex Samuel scored his maiden goal for the club on 76 minutes, having come off the bench for the Seasiders. There were no goals in extra-time and the match went to penalties. Goalkeeper Steve Cann was the hero for Aber saving a Llanudno penalty and it was left for Andy Parkinson to complete a full-house with Aber's fifth successful spot-kick.

Afan Lido 2-2 Airbus UK Broughton (Airbus won 5-4 on Penalties)
The hosts took the lead on 12 minutes with an Andy Hill penalty, but Mark Cadwallader equalised n 25 minutes for the Wingmakers. Gavin Cadwallader gave the visitors the lead four minutes before the interval and it wasn't until the first minute of injury time when sub Liam Thomas dramatically equalised for the Lido. There were no further goals and the match went to penalties, with Lido 'keeper Tony Pennock seeing the decisive spot-kick saved by his opposite number Nikki-Lee Bulmer.

Buckley Town 2-4 Bala Town (AET)
Bala booked their place in the Quarter-Final in a six-goal thriller in extra-time at Globe Way. A Lee Hunt penalty on 16 minutes gave Bala the lead and Chris Mason doubled the lead on 28 minutes. Anthony Williams pulled one back for the hosts five minutes before the break and Mike Burke completed the comeback from the penalty spot on 68 minutes and the match went to extra-time. Hunt scored his second just four minutes into the extra-time to give the Lakesiders the advantage once again and he then completed his hat-trick.

Carmarthen Town 3-1 AFC Porth (AET)
Carmarthen came from behind to end the Cup dream of AFC Porth in extra-time at Richmond Park. The Welsh League side took the lead in the eighth minute through Robbie Thomas. The Old Gold restored parity five minutes before the interval with a Nick Harrhy equaliser. The match went to extra-time and after Sam Wilson was brought down in the box, Town striker Tim Hicks scored from the spot with 105 minutes played and Julian Alsop scored with four minutes left to seal the win.

Flint Town 1-3 Neath (Full-Time)
Craig Hughes scored to give Neath the lead on fifteen minutes. Chris Jones doubled the advantage on 37 minutes. Hughes made it 3-0 on 52minutes, but Flint responded straight away through Jon Rush. Matty Collins was then sent-off for the visitors to give Paul Davies’ team further hope of a comeback, but it wasn't to be and the Eagles confirmed their place in the last-eight.

Prestatyn Town 0-2 Cefn Druids (Full-Time)
Cefn Druids provided a shock at Bastion Road as Huw Griffiths' side booked their place in the Quarter-Final draw. Defender Adam Hesp gave the Druids the lead against their Welsh Premier League opponents with 12 minutes played and Joe Price sealed the victory in injury time.

Rhyl FC 3-3 Llanelli AFC - (Llanelli won 5-4 Penalties)
Rhyl were down to ten men after just eight minutes when Neil Coverley was sent-off for a dangerous tackle on Craig Williams. But, despite the numerical deficit, the Lilywhites took the lead shortly afterwards when Tom Rowlands scored at the far post from a deep Mike Pritchard cross.Two minuts before the break, Chris Thomas s brought down by Steffan Halewood in the box and Rhys Griffiths sent Ben Jones the wrong way to equalise.

The Reds took the lead on 66 minutes when Stuart Jones finished well after a good cut-back from Chris Venables, but the valiant Rhyl kept battling and equalised through Ryan Williams with just two minutes left and that took the game to extra-time. The tireless Venables scored for the holders just three minutes into the extra time, but there was more late drama as Jones fouled Mark Pritchard in the box and Williams converted the penalty with tominutes remaining. The Reds were faultless in the penalties and with Craig Richards saving from Shaun Dowling, it was left to Craig Williams to seal the triumph.

The New Saints 4-0 Newport County (Full-Time)
The Saints booked their place in the last-eight with a comfortable win against a young Newport County side. A Connall Rawlinson strike on 15 minutes gave the Saints the lead, before Alex Darlington made it 2-0 four minutes later. It was soon 3-0 when Greg Draper found the back of the net and Craig Jones then made it four, just two minutes before the interval. There were no goals in the second-half as Newport became the third and final exiled club to crash out of the Cup.
